Album Notes & Community Reviews
Acting as the first entry in a loosely conceptual trilogy produced alongside Richard Swift, 'Maraqopa' signals a definitive stylistic shift toward psychedelic exploration for the veteran folk artist. The lyrical narrative revolves around a mysterious, fictional utopia that leads to a profound spiritual crisis. The rich, reverb-heavy instrumentation beautifully complements Jurado's melancholic vocal delivery.
