Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at a multitude of studios and utilizing a massive orchestral backing, 'Nether Lands' captures Dan Fogelberg expanding his intimate singer-songwriter style into sweeping, cinematic soft rock. The lush string arrangements provide a dramatic, highly polished backdrop to his mellow vocal delivery and confessional lyricism. It is widely considered a defining achievement of the era's sophisticated, adult-oriented pop production.
