Album Notes & Community Reviews

Achieving massive multi-platinum success, 'Phoenix' perfectly distills the slick, introspective singer-songwriter aesthetic of the era. The album's defining single, 'Longer', showcases Dan Fogelberg's delicate acoustic fingerpicking and breathy, deeply romantic vocal delivery. The meticulous studio production heavily relies on lush strings and smooth harmonies, cementing his legacy as a titan of late-seventies soft rock.
