Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a period of severe mental health struggles, Daniel Johnston's '1990' is an incredibly harrowing and deeply raw lo-fi document. The album utilizes sparse acoustic arrangements and a cappella hymns to explore profound themes of Christian guilt, depressive alienation, and intense loneliness.
