Stardust

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking his first album written and recorded entirely while sober, 'Stardust' finds Danny Brown shifting away from the introspective darkness of 2023's 'Quaranta' towards a brighter, more chaotic sound rooted in hyperpop and experimental electronic music. Collaborating with a wide range of underground producers and artists like Jane Remover, Frost Children, and underscores, the album pairs Brown's characteristically eccentric and versatile vocal delivery with production that is at once abrasive, melodic, and joyful. Thematically, the album explores his recovery from addiction and a renewed love for life and art, presenting a sound that is both a logical evolution for the artist and a stark, optimistic contrast to his previous work.
