Nothing

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their third studio album 'Nothing', Darkside expands into a trio, embracing a more physical and varied sound rooted in spontaneous improvisation. The addition of drummer Tlacael Esparza drives the album's krautrock, funk, and disco-leaning rhythms, creating a rawer, more immediate energy than their previous work. This dynamic shift is complemented by Nicolás Jaar's ethereal falsetto and a production style that treats vocals as another textural instrument, blending lo-fi immediacy with intricate, layered sound design.
