Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Beauty on a Back Street' marks a noticeably harder-edged and rock-oriented detour for the celebrated blue-eyed soul duo. Recorded with long-time producer Christopher Bond, the sessions reflect the personal turbulence and exhaustion experienced by the pair during a grueling touring schedule. The resulting tracks largely eschew their signature R&B smoothness in favor of dense guitars and aggressive pop-rock structures.
