Album Notes & Community Reviews

Experimenting with harder rock textures and subtle new wave synthesizer gloss, 'X-Static' finds the hitmaking duo transitioning away from lush 1970s soul. The production embraces a slightly more aggressive, rhythmic edge, incorporating elements of contemporary disco and funk rock. While commercially uneven, it laid the crucial sonic foundations for the massive, career-defining pop dominance they would achieve in the impending MTV era.
