Album Notes & Community Reviews

Noticeably scaling back the rapid-fire, highly animated 'iggedy' flow that defined their explosive debut, Das EFX adopts a significantly darker, grittier boom-bap sound on 'Hold It Down'. The album benefits immensely from premier East Coast production from DJ Premier and Easy Mo Bee, providing a heavy, classic New York foundation for their evolving lyrical delivery. The release successfully proved their ability to adapt within the shifting landscape of mid-90s hip-hop.
