Album Notes & Community Reviews

After years of functioning entirely within the confines of The Kinks, lead guitarist Dave Davies finally released his debut solo album, cheekily titled after its own catalog number. The record is a polished, melodic collection of power pop and AOR rock, showcasing his distinctively gritty vocals and sharp songwriting abilities outside his brother's shadow. It proved to be a modest but respectable commercial success.
