Album Notes & Community Reviews

The highly prolific trumpeter radically embraces modern electronic processing and heavy funk grooves, largely abandoning his traditional acoustic jazz roots. Anchored by complex drum programming and extensive digital editing, the music allows for surprisingly aggressive, freewheeling improvisations from an all-star ensemble. The highly adventurous release successfully integrated cutting-edge IDM textures into a cerebral jazz framework.
