Anchored by Dave Holland's formidable, driving bass lines, 'Not for Nothin'' captures an ensemble of virtuosos operating with telepathic communication. The quintet delivers incredibly warm, highly melodic post-bop that seamlessly transitions from complex, written unison lines to fiery open improvisation.
