Album Notes & Community Reviews
Showcasing one of the most formidable acoustic jazz ensembles of the decade, the British bassist leads his quintet through a set of complex, intensely interactive compositions. The interplay between Steve Coleman's angular saxophone lines and Kenny Wheeler's brass perfectly highlights the group's sophisticated, avant-leaning post-bop.
