This major-label debut catapulted the Virginia-based collective from regional college circuit favorites to massive international stardom. Driven by Carter Beauford's incredibly intricate, jazz-inflected drumming and prominent saxophone and violin interplay, the album defined the mainstream face of the 1990s jam band movement.
