Risha

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Representing a cross-continental meeting of avant-garde minds, 'Risha' is a collaborative studio album from Wovenhand leader David Eugene Edwards and Einstürzende Neubauten bassist Alexander Hacke. The record is a tense, highly atmospheric collision of hypnotic psychedelic folk, raw post-industrial electronic pulses, and gothic country elements. Hacke's clanging percussion, synthesizers, and bass work provide a dark, mechanical canvas for Edwards' passionate, sermon-like vocal delivery, capturing a deeply ominous and poetic sense of spiritual transit.
