Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at his home studio in Denver alongside collaborator Vincent Petitjean, 'Mercurial Silence' represents the sophomore solo album from former 16 Horsepower and Wovenhand frontman David Eugene Edwards. Released via Sargent House, the record pushes his signature, gothic neofolk into experimental territories through the expanded use of percussive drones, bowed strings, and spectral electronic production. Edwards' commanding, evocative voice guides the tracks, creating a starkly intense and ancient-feeling transmission.
