Album Notes & Community Reviews
Gilmour's second solo effort emerged during a period of intense internal conflict within Pink Floyd, reflecting his desire to establish a distinct artistic identity away from Roger Waters. Co-produced with Bob Ezrin and featuring lyrical contributions from Pete Townshend, the record leans into contemporary rock arrangements and synthesizer textures. It captures a transitional moment for the guitarist, exploring mainstream accessibility while retaining his signature melodic fretwork.
