Album Notes & Community Reviews

Distancing himself further from the sleazy glam-punk of the New York Dolls, 'In Style' presents David Johansen fully embracing polished, radio-ready rock. The production heavily incorporates brass sections and Motown-inspired backing vocals, resulting in an infectious, R&B-flavored pop-rock effort. It highlights his formidable evolution as a versatile frontman capable of navigating sophisticated, highly melodic arrangements.
