Album Notes & Community Reviews

The formidable tenor saxophonist remarkably restrains his typically explosive free-jazz blowing to seamlessly integrate with a lush string trio and heavily synthesized, electronic rhythms. The resulting soundscape is deeply atmospheric, highly cinematic, and occasionally hypnotic, demonstrating a profound compositional ambition. The record boldly challenged the structural expectations of contemporary avant-garde jazz.
