Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Marcus Miller, the hugely successful saxophonist delivered a masterclass in highly polished, rhythmically dynamic smooth jazz. 'A Change of Heart' blends sophisticated R&B grooves with his soaring, deeply emotive alto saxophone playing, setting the commercial standard for contemporary instrumental music. The album firmly cemented his position as the premier architect of the late-eighties adult contemporary jazz sound.
