Album Notes & Community Reviews

The deeply enigmatic former Japan frontman delivers a staggering, feature-length electroacoustic soundscape composed to accompany the Pulitzer Prize-winning poetry of Franz Wright. The album completely buries Wright's spoken-word recitations beneath remarkably tense, improvisational avant-garde piano playing and terrifyingly abstract electronic glitches and dark ambient drones. It is a profoundly surreal, intensely scary, and brilliantly poetic experimental masterwork.
