Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Pere Ubu frontman continued his prolific string of solo releases with this eccentric, highly literate art rock offering. 'Blame the Messenger' features a seasoned backing band, providing a surprisingly cohesive, driving rock structure to support Thomas's warbling, idiosyncratic vocal delivery. The album successfully blends avant-garde storytelling with an accessible, robust musical foundation.
