Guitarist David Torn acts as both instigator and post-production manipulator on 'Prezens', extensively sampling and altering the live improvisations of his three collaborators. The resulting electro-acoustic hybrid bridges the fiery dynamics of downtown free jazz with stark, cinematic soundscapes.
