Album Notes & Community Reviews

Acclaimed percussionist David Van Tieghem bridges downtown avant-garde sensibilities with accessible electronic structures on 'These Things Happen'. Utilizing found objects and early sampling technology alongside traditional synths, the compositions are intensely rhythmic and subtly surreal. The work reflects his experiences performing with experimental titans like Laurie Anderson and Steve Reich.
