Album Notes & Community Reviews
Parting ways with long-time producer Prince Paul, De La Soul delivers a deeply conscious, highly critical examination of mid-90s rap culture on 'Stakes Is High'. The trio provides mellow, cold, and highly rhythmic boom-bap production to support their sharp political and urban protest lyricism.
