Album Notes & Community Reviews

The culmination of a seven-year journey that began with a 2009 Kickstarter campaign, Deakin's solo debut is a brief but deeply personal work of psychedelic folk that blends acoustic guitar and field recordings with layered electronics and ethereal vocals. The album's meditative and healing tone explores themes of self-doubt, anxiety, and perseverance, mirroring its own protracted and publicly scrutinized creation. Tracks range from the hushed beauty of "Golden Chords" to the chaotic, distorted release of "Footy," creating a dynamic and cathartic listening experience that chronicles a struggle for artistic and personal resolution.
