Album Notes & Community Reviews

Douglas P. pushed Death in June further away from traditional post-punk, firmly establishing the acoustic, martial rhythms of the neofolk genre. 'The W枚rld Th盲t S眉mmer' integrates bleak acoustic strumming with aggressive military snare drums, cryptic historical sampling, and highly apocalyptic lyricism. It is a profoundly ominous, dark, and repetitive exploration of European historical trauma.
