Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning to a pure, guitar-driven rock setup following their more synthesized prior albums, the San Francisco quartet delivers one of their punchiest and most accessible records. Satomi Matsuzaki's uniquely sweet, high-pitched vocals expertly contrast with heavily distorted, angular guitar riffs and incredibly tight, math-rock drumming. The album was celebrated as a joyful, high-energy peak in their deeply idiosyncratic discography.
