Album Notes & Community Reviews

Exploring themes of societal inequality and human flaws inspired by Octavia E. Butler's science fiction literature, 'The Human Contradiction' is a bombastic and highly polished entry in Delain's catalog. The Dutch band successfully marries heavy, alternative metal riffing with massive symphonic orchestration and Charlotte Wessels's pristine vocal melodies. The project notably features prominent guest appearances from Nightwish's Marco Hietala and Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz.
