Following the dissolution of Felt, Lawrence's new project completely abandoned esoteric jangle-pop for an obsessively detailed, satirical homage to 1970s glam rock and synth-pop. The shiny, heavily synthesized production cleverly conceals his biting, deeply cynical observations on British pop culture and the music industry machine.
