Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Mississippi and co-produced by Animal Collective's Rusty Santos, the debut album from the Southern singer-songwriter relies almost entirely on ukulele and rich vocal harmonies. The breezy, highly melodic tracks subvert typical indie-pop conventions by adopting a retro, almost vaudevillian aesthetic. It introduced his distinctive croon and quirky, lighthearted approach to classic pop structures.
