The Expanding Flower Planet

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut solo outing from former Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian weaves a dazzling tapestry of global, polyrhythmic influences and cosmic synthesizer exploration. Her elastic, multi-tracked vocal harmonies heavily reference both traditional Middle Eastern scales and eccentric 1970s avant-pop. The meticulously layered production firmly established her individual voice outside the confines of her previous prominent collaborative projects.
