Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dan Bejar dials back the sprawling, brass-heavy orchestration of his previous triumph 'Poison Season' in favor of icy, nocturnal 1980s synth-pop. Produced by Black Mountain's Josh Wells, the record utilizes driving drum machines and sleek new-wave aesthetics to frame Bejar's notoriously cryptic, hyper-literate observations on modern decay. It is a confident, darkly romantic entry in his highly acclaimed discography.
