Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping entirely outside of his established freak-folk acoustic roots, Devendra Banhart teams up with producer Cate Le Bon for a deeply synthesized aesthetic on 'Flying Wig'. The album relies heavily on lush, 1980s-inspired analog synthesizers and languid drum machine tempos. The resulting soundscape is profoundly nocturnal, sensual, and bathed in a soothing, hypnagogic pop atmosphere.
