Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in a rented house in Topanga Canyon, the leading figure of the freak-folk movement fully indulged his eclectic 1970s singer-songwriter fantasies. The sprawling, wildly diverse album incorporates elements of reggae, samba, and classic soul, highlighted by the gorgeous, cinematic ballad 'Carmensita'.
