The third studio album and the final one to feature original vocalist Ed Gibbs. 'Empire of Light' is arguably the band's most melodic and hopeful-sounding record, placing a greater emphasis on clean vocals and uplifting, expansive soundscapes. While still retaining their signature heaviness, the album's overall tone is more majestic and less melancholic than its predecessors, showcasing their growth as songwriters.
