Initially conceived as a collaboration with Jason Newsted of Metallica that never fully materialized, this solo project features the entire backing lineup of Strapping Young Lad. The record fuses Townsend's massive, multi-tracked vocal melodies with an aggressively dense, industrial-thrash assault, resulting in one of his most frenetic and punishing releases.
