Album Notes & Community Reviews
Devo perfected their highly synthetic, tightly wound vision of new wave on their third studio album, heavily emphasizing synthesizers over guitars. Anchored by the massive crossover hit 'Whip It', 'Freedom of Choice' is a fiercely energetic, deeply mechanical, and incredibly playful satire of American consumerism and societal de-evolution.
