Album Notes & Community Reviews

Pivoting sharply from the raw speed of their highly influential debut, the NWOBHM pioneers opted for a significantly more polished and progressive sound on 'Canterbury'. The album incorporates complex arrangements, clean production, and lush melodic hooks that alienated much of their original core fanbase. Despite commercial struggles at the time, it is retrospectively appreciated as an ambitious and sophisticated hard rock effort.
