Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally conceived as a tribute to Albert Ayler, Peter Br枚tzmann's ferociously talented quartet delivers a suffocating wall of European free improvisation recorded live at a German festival. The incredibly dense, high-velocity interplay between Br枚tzmann's abrasive horns and William Parker's driving bass makes it a touchstone of the 90s avant-garde scene.
