Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning to the studio with arranger Don Costa, Dinah Washington delivers a profoundly melancholic set focused entirely on themes of heartbreak and alcohol. Her blues-drenched phrasing cuts through the lush, string-heavy adult contemporary production, resulting in one of the most emotionally resonant and devastated vocal jazz albums of her late career.
