Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following the departure of guitarist Vivian Campbell, Dio recruited Craig Goldy to deliver a darker, slightly more atmospheric heavy metal record. The album retains Ronnie James Dio's legendary, operatic vocals and high-fantasy lyricism, heavily featuring driving, mid-paced riffs and lush, synthesized keyboard textures. 'Dream Evil' is an energetic, deeply melodic, and triumphant late-80s metal classic.
