Strange Highways

by Dio

Strange Highways cover art

Following Ronnie James Dio's brief reunion with Black Sabbath for 'Dehumanizer', his eponymous band reconvened to record their darkest and heaviest album to date. Greatly influenced by the brooding, massive doom-metal riffs of his recent work with Tony Iommi, the record marks a stark departure from the Dungeons and Dragons fantasy themes of his 1980s solo catalog.
