Album Notes & Community Reviews
A pioneering milestone in the worldbeat genre, this collaboration seamlessly merges German avant-garde electronic sensibilities with traditional North African acoustic music. 'Sahara Elektrik' features the Moroccan group Lemchaheb driving hypnotic, repetitive grooves fueled by traditional percussion and modern synthesizers. The album notably spawned the massive international club hit 'Fata Morgana'.
