Debuting at the top of the Billboard charts, the Chicago quartet's sophomore effort expanded upon their aggressive nu-metal foundation with surprisingly prominent melodic sensibilities. Thematically inspired heavily by the death of David Draiman's grandfather and a renewed focus on religious questioning, the album eschews much of the overt angst of their debut.
