Album Notes & Community Reviews

The fourth studio album from the Chicago heavy metal titans embraces a noticeably darker, more aggressive tone, inspired by vocalist David Draiman's personal tragedies and reflections on war. Stripping away some of the electronic nuance of their previous releases, the band returns to driving, rhythmic hard rock and virtuosic, highly melodic guitar solos. The record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, scoring them a third consecutive chart-topper.
