Kaleidoscope

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating primarily under the guidance of Strictly Kev for this iteration, the long-standing Ninja Tune project pivots away from its instructional DJ roots. 'Kaleidoscope' is a vibrantly textured collage of dusty jazz samples, cinematic espionage motifs, and heavy breakbeat percussion. The album is frequently cited as a high-water mark for the complex, sample-delic era of instrumental hip-hop.
