Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally released on an independent label before being picked up by Jive, this debut introduced a clean, wildly entertaining new dynamic to hip-hop. 'Rock the House' balances Will Smith's charismatic, humorous storytelling with Jazzy Jeff's groundbreaking turntablism, particularly evident on 'A Touch of Jazz'. The album paved the way for the immense crossover success of their subsequent pop-rap releases.
