Hideaki Ishi's third full-length release deeply solidified his reputation as a globally recognized architect of dark, abstract instrumental hip-hop. The incredibly moody, atmospheric production heavily utilizes traditional Japanese instrumentation heavily processed through gritty boom-bap drum loops and obscure jazz sampling. Featuring high-profile vocal collaborations with The Roots and Guru, the record successfully bridged the trans-Atlantic trip-hop and East Coast hip-hop scenes.
