Album Notes & Community Reviews

The collaborative album 'Don't Call Me Lucky' pairs legendary producer DJ Muggs' signature ominous, cinematic boom-bap production with the sharp, street-rooted lyricism of Los Angeles emcee T.F. Serving as a meeting of generations, the project's soundscape features vintage 70s elements, horn-infused tracks, and bluesy loops, creating a backdrop for T.F.'s streetwise narratives and meditations on faith versus fortune. The album's significance is amplified by a formidable lineup of guest appearances from artists like Ghostface Killah, Roc Marciano, and Boldy James, and its release was accompanied by a full-length film directed by Jason Goldwatch.
